New lease deals and store openings continue for the South Coast Collection shopping center in Costa Mesa.

The 300,000-square-foot center, known as SoCo, fronts the San Diego (405) Freeway and focuses on interior design, culinary and boutique tenants.

Brown and Jordan recently signed a lease for 15,000 square feet of space to serve as its West Coast flagship.

Connecticut-based Design Within Reach, which sells furniture and home accessories, is set to open a 20,400-square-foot store on Friday. The SoCo store will be the company’s first in Orange County and one of its flagship operations.

In December Annie Sloan Chalk Paints is expected to open, along with a Birdie Juice Bar and ARC Restaurant.

The owners of Portola Coffee Lab, which is located at SoCo, are set to open a tea bar called Seventh Tea Bar also in December.

Restaurant supply equipment and gourmet food company Surfas Group opened an 18,000-square-foot Surfas Culinary District last week. It is the company’s first store in Orange County and includes a test kitchen and wine and cheese bar.

Other recent store openings include a 6,200-square-foot Rolling Greens store, which sells home and garden products, and a Unidesigns showroom.
