Hi, SOCO friends! Whether you’re soaking up the last few days of summer or have already started the new school year, we’re excited that you’ll be digging into some gardening fun with us today. For this week’s Kids Club, we’ll be reading the #1 New York Times bestseller, We Are the Gardeners before making a fun paper plate garden craft.

Written by HGTV legend Joanna Gaines and illustrated by Julianna Swaney, We Are the Gardeners will teach you the importance of hard work, perseverance and, most importantly, familial love.  From their failed endeavors, obstacles to overcome (bunnies that eat everything), and all of the knowledge they gain along the way, the Gaines family shares how they learned to grow a happy, successful garden. – Paint (brown and sky blue)
– Paintbrushes
– Cardstock (green, white, red, and orange)
– Yarn (brown)
– Hole punch
– Tape
– Scissors
