Designer Camp for Young Adults

L.A.’s only comprehensive and collaborative design-based summer camp for young adults aged 11-17 comes to SOCO + the OC Mix for Design Camp 101. Taking place July 24-28 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, registered students will explore the vast careers in the design industry by implementing the principles and elements of design in all areas of the design world including Art, Branding, Fashion, Interior Design, Photography, Styling, Trend Forecasting and much more. Throughout the week, students will work in teams on a culminating design project that will be presented to parents and the local design community.

Now in its third year, Designer Camp gives students a rare opportunity to engage and learn through hands-on workshops, informative talks from working designers in LA and OC, and behind-the-scenes tours of studios and galleries. Design Camp also partners with nonprofit organizations to allow the students to design for social good. Designer Camp’s goal is to change the lives of youth through cultivating their unique creativity and helping them discover the many career opportunities for their future.
