Gear COOP: Unite for Nepal feat. Kevin Jorgeson
June 25, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
In April 2015, a series of devastating earthquakes and aftershocks struck Nepal, killing over 8,000 people, injuring over 20,000, and leaving entire villages decimated in their wake. As the home of Mount Everest and its intrepid sherpas, Nepal holds a special place in adventurers’ hearts. On June 25, Gear Coop and adidas Outdoor invite everyone to come together and Unite for Nepal, with all event proceeds going directly toward earthquake relief efforts.
And who better to inspire everyone to help than Kevin Jorgeson? Alongside his climbing partner Tommy Caldwell, the adidas Outdoor athlete transfixed the world with their daring first free ascent of Yosemite’s legendary Dawn Wall. Jorgeson will present an exclusive talk and slideshow of the experience, sharing how he overcame seemingly insurmountable odds–and proving that we can, too.
Along with Jorgeson’s keynote, there will be a live auction and raffle for amazing products donated by top outdoor brands including GoPro, Black Diamond, Outdoor Tech, Arc’teryx, Petzl, 5.10, Deuter, Feetures!, Oboz, and more. In between programs, browse an extensive vendor village and enjoy great food from Urban Pie, The Iron Press, Capital Noodle Bar, plus libations from Ritual Brewing Co., Dewar’s, and Martini & Rossi. And there will be so much more!
Pick up your tickets today for this incredible opportunity to give back to a community that has long embraced adventurers near and far. The $100 VIP ticket (limited to 50) guarantees you a meet and greet with Kevin Jorgeson, an exclusive gift bag filled with products from our sponsors, a front-row seat, and open bar access all night. The general admission ticket–$15 for the online presale, $20 at the door–gets you a free drink of your choice plus a raffle ticket.*
It’s a night to kindle hope, inspire courage, and give back. It’s a night to Unite for Nepal.
*General admission attendees must bring their own seating. Camp-style folding chairs are encouraged.
