SURFAS: Fancy Bar Food

Hands-On Cooking Class


Join Surfas as we celebrate fun delicious foods served in casual environments, all over the United States bar food has been elevated to a new level so let’s celebrate. We will learn how to perfectly braise short ribs and make a wonderful unusual taco with a mouth watering orange glaze. Make a sliders that’s far from your regular burger slider, we will be making frizzled onions and a home-made wasabi aioli. Let’s make Poutine from Scratch cheese curds and all, we will learn how to make perfectly crispy fries and wonderful brown gravy and most importantly we will learn how to make cheese curds. We can also briefly go over how to turn those curds into a lovely snack all on its own, fried cheese curds are amazing. Join us for a generous tasting of: Short Rib Tacos with Micro Greens, an Orange Glaze and Home-made Corn Tortillas, Sesame Crusted Tuna Sliders with Wasabi Aioli, Poutine Made from Scratch (French Fries with Brown Gravy, Lardons and Cheese Curds).
