Hands-On Cooking Class
In this class we will be learning the basics of sauce making and how a great sauce can take an ordinary dish and make it extraordinary. Learn the 5 basic sauces called mother sauces in the culinary industry. Learn the history of these sauces and what makes them truly unique and instrumental in traditional cuisine. The five basic mother sauces all are the foundation for hundreds of other sauces. We will be learning what can also be created with these basic sauces. Join us for a fun and educational journey into the world of sauces. Create and taste: Bechamel Sauce – White Lasagna, Espagnole Sauce, Hollandaise Sauce – Grilled Asparagus, Tomato, Veloute – Chicken Veloute.
