Introducing SOCO’s Kids Club! 

Calling all creative kiddos of Orange County! SOCO + The OC Mix has an all-new Kids Club launching this month that will bring fun events and interactive programming to the center all year long.  The very first event will be held on Wednesday, January 15 from 10a to 11a, with the fun to continue the third Wednesday of each month.  Every event will offer a live story reading, music + dancing, and a fun craft with January’s event to feature a reading of Tacky the Penguin along with an adorable penguin craft. Roomscapes’ Coffee with a Designer 

Beginning this January, Roomscapes with be hosting monthly “Coffee with a Designer” workshops where attendees will learn the many different facets of the home remodeling process over coffee and light bites with a different theme guiding the event each month. OC Register: Pantone’s Color(s) of 2016 raise eyebrows


Pantone’s annual Color of the Year announcement is a curious mix of fashion, social statement and zeitgeist barometer. This year, there’s a lot of debate about what it’s trying to tell us.

Near the end of each year, the New Jersey-based company, known in the manufacturing world for its large proprietary color palette, announces a color that a panel of experts predicts will be popular during the following 12 months.

Cisco Home: ARTVenture

You’re invited to the city of Costa Mesa’s first juried exhibition of art, ARTventure, on November 13-15 at Cisco Home at SOCO in Costa Mesa. ARTventure will be a fusion of the arts and entertainment, showcasing the work of local Orange County artists. The artwork will be paired with live entertainment featuring musical, theatrical, literary, and culinary forms. This inaugural event held at SOCO will truly highlight why Costa Mesa is known as the “City of the Arts.”

The City of Costa Mesa Cultural Arts Committee is currently scouting Orange County for artwork to showcase. Artists have till October 1 to submit up to 3 pieces of artwork. Submissions may include a variety of media, including oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, graphite drawings, metal sculpture, pottery, photography, fiber art, mixed media as well as literary art. Artwork will be screened and selected for the exhibit, and a collection of winners will be awarded. Whether you’re an artist yourself or a patron of the arts, all creative minds are welcome.
