Enjoy The Holiday Season at SOCO + The OC Mix!

Join Us for Holidays by Design! 

Celebrate the holidays with SOCO+ The OC Mix’s Holidays by Design events! Running every Saturday through December 21, guests are invited to bring the whole family to enjoy a holiday photo booth from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. along with live music inside The OC Mix from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Chuck Jones Center will also be hosting holiday Storytime with Mrs. Claus from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. featuring a live book reading and craft activity for your little ones.  WHILE STORYTIME IS FREE, AN RSVP IS REQUIRED AND CAN BE DONE HERE.

Opening Soon!

Just announced – Jax & Bones, a trailblazer in dog bed & toy design, will soon be opening inside the OC Mix! Jax & Bones specializes and is dedicated to creating sustainable, high quality, stylish pet products. Handcrafted in the United States, this family owned brand was inspired by female founder & CEO, Tina Nguyen. Her desire to  discover better quality products for her beloved beagle, Jax led her to create a company built on the belief that good design isn’t just for humans.  The shop is scheduled to open this weekend, so be sure to come by and check out SOCO + The OC Mix’s newest business for yourself.

Tackle Box Gives Back 

Tackle Box has a tasty way for you to give back this season! Now through Tuesday, December 31, the restaurant will donate 10% of each participating guest’s bill directly to Patriots and Paws – a nonprofit organization that provides resources to support veterans, active military, reservists and their families in addition to helping those who are interested get paired with a companionship animal.  In order to take part in this great cause, simply dine at Tackle Box between now and 12/31 and mention the fundraiser to any of Tackle Box’s employees.

A Holiday Open House at The Chuck Jones Gallery 

The holidays have arrived! The Chuck Jones Gallery cordially invites you to a Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 7 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where guests will celebrate this joyous season with scrumptious treats and festive libations alongside beautiful vintage artwork and great gift ideas galore. Attendees will also receive a FREE print of a drawing done by Chuck Jones of his grandson in 1964 that commemorates the holidays.  The Chuck Jones team looks forward to seeing you there!

 

SOCO + The OC Mix Kick-Starts The Holiday Season!

The Holidays Have Arrived 

With the holidays right around the corner, SOCO + The OC Mix is excited to invite you to this year’s Holidays by Design events! Beginning on Saturday, November 30 and running every Saturday through December 21, guests are invited to bring the whole family to enjoy a holiday photo booth from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and along with live music inside The OC Mix from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Chuck Jones Center will also be hosting holiday Storytime with Mrs. Claus featuring a live book reading and craft activity for your little ones.  While Storytime is free, an RSVP is recommended and can be done here.

Small Business Saturday

On Saturday, November 30, American Express will host its annual Small Business Saturday, which encourages customers to support their local stores and shop small. On that day, customers are invited to SOCO + The OC Mix to take part by shopping at the abundance of local businesses throughout The OC Mix.  Guests will also receive complimentary “SOCO + The OC Mix”- themed tote bags to use while searching for the perfect holiday gifts (while supplies last).

November Happenings at Tackle Box! 

On Saturday, November 23 at 9:00 p.m., gather your favorite people and enjoy an exciting evening of music provided by the amazing DJ Colette. Special drink offers will also be available including 50% off margaritas, micheladas and $5 select beers. Now that’s something to be thankful for!

Plus TODAY, November 21, Gunwhale Ales joins Tackle Box for a tap takeover! From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., come try a selection of four Gunwhale Ale beers on tap and also enjoy an exclusive brew that will be paired with a signature dish in collaboration with Chef Brian Huskey.

Holiday Crafts at The SOCO Farmers Market

Gather the kiddos for a special holiday pomander craft at the SOCO Farmers Market! This Saturday, November 23 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., children of all ages are invited to make festive pomanders from cloves and local mandarin oranges. A Taste of France Comes to SOCO 

TODAY, November 5 the highly anticipated fourth location of Moulin officially joins the SOCO family! With a commitment to providing an elevated pastry experience, Moulin’s exhibition-style kitchen will show guests what it takes to assemble artisan pastries while also offering Parisian classics including wedding cake, croquembouche, opera, fraisier, and baba au rhum. The new 2,000 sq. ft. pastry lab will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and features a memorizing 17-foot glass pastry case.

Honor America’s Heroes 

To thank America’s veterans for their endless service and dedication, SusieCakes is inviting all active, inactive, and military personnel into their bakeries during operating hours on Monday, November 11 to enjoy a delicious complimentary piece of cake with valid Military ID or DD 214.  Non-veterans can show their support by purchasing a regular sized red velvet cupcake where $1 from each cupcake purchased will be donated to VA medical centers in California and Texas.  Mark your calendars and get ready to show your appreciation for the hero in your life this Veteran’s Day!
