PIRCH’S Ultimate Grill Event
Learn how to make the most of your summer cookouts with PIRCH’s Ultimate Grill Event! This Saturday, July 27 from 11:00 a.m. to3:00 p.m., BBQ lovers and grill masters alike are invited to join PIRCH and DCS Grills for a delicious + informative lunch event featuring Pasturebird Chicken. Attendees will taste chicken and other delightful dishes prepared by the amazing DCS grill while also hearing from expert chefs who will share the fascinating ins and outs of the DCS grill that was used to prepare lunch. Savory Spice Shop and Sir Owlverick’s Coffee will also be in attendance to offer tasty samples and speak on all things spices and coffee.
Paint & Sip at Chuck Jones
Join the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity on the evening of Friday, July 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for a night of Chuck Jones Pop Art! Expert teaching artists will guide you through the step-by-step process of painting one of Chuck’s beloved characters and will help you create a colorful, one of a kind work of art using nontraditional tools. Storytime at Cilek Kids Room
Stop by Cilek Kids Room all summer long for Storytime! This hour-long creative and interactive program will feature live music, dance, and storytelling at each event along with a parent and child art activity to end the day. Once Storytime is complete, families are invited to the SOCO Farmers’ Market to take part in a tasting tour with Market Bucks-tokens that can be spent on anything inside the market. The first Storytime event will take place this weekend on Saturday, July 27 at11:00 a.m. and will feature the “Goodnight Moon” storybook. Storytime will continue once monthly until October on 8/24, 9/28, and10/26 with different stories and activities featured each month.
