TUNE IN TO INTERIOR DESIGNER JULIA NEWMAN’S SOCO FAVORITES

As an interior designer, I spend much of my day running around trying to find the perfect pieces for my clients. SOCO + The OC Mix makes it easy because it provides the perfect combination of places to source what my clients need! In fact, I often drive from LA to spend the whole day there, as there are so many options.

Right now, everyone is spending more time at hom, so I thought I would share some of my favorite picks from SOCO + The OC Mix to beautify your home!

Stark has the best rug selection because they have a wide variety of styles, ranging from vintage to modern to custom. I adore this rug, as it has a traditional pattern and vintage look, but is in an earthy monochrome palette that could mix in perfectly in so many styles including a costal look.

For lifetime pieces, nothing beats solid wood, and Room & Board does it so beautifully. This accent chair just feels like a piece you could pass on through generations. The great thing about their pieces is that they often times have customizable options.

I never miss a chance to go into Rejuvenation to see the latest.  To add a little drama to your space, I would go for a bold saturated color in a plush velvet, such as this stunning olive color. Or you can go with a rich wood-tone throwback-style dresser complemented with brass hardware.

I am a firm believer that furniture should be both beautiful and functional. Calligaris has such innovative extendable tables, which means you don’t have to struggle with leaves and where to store them. They also have tabletop options that look like marble, but are actually laminated ceramic-glass, which is more low maintenance.

No matter what piece you need or what your taste is, SOCO + The OC Mix has something for every client, and all in one place. It is well worth spending the day to cover all the options.
